Think I might have a loose wire which caused the Spin issue

Ran diagnostics again and this time got the F25 error right away. Read on the internet it had something to do with communications between the motor control board and the motor itself. Recommendations were and to check connections. Went back and ran the quick diagnostics and this time it started the spin cycle. Went back and ran the full diagnostics and this time it passed. Thinking that the quick diagnostics ran the spin test which shook the washer a little might have temporarily made a connection. Sure enough ran a full wash cycle and things are now working. Now to find that loose wire. A little less frustration.

How to run diagnostics on Whirlpool Washer

I believe it is different depending on the model you have. You run diagnostics by pressing a set of keys in a particular order. For example, to run Universal diag on my WFC7500VW2 you first place the washer selector on Clean Washer, press the Cancel/Drain button 2 times, then press the Start button 2 times within 5 seconds. Then press the option buttons, one at a time, to check the User Interface. the Quick Test Mode is entered or ran by placing the selector to Clean Washer, Press the Start button 4 times within 5 seconds. The Quick test Mode actually tests each of the water solenoids, washing speed, drain pump, then Spin cycle. All of this is documented for you model in the "For Service Technician Only" documentation that came with your washer. This sometimes can be found behind one of the panels of you washer or you can probably find it online.

Seems to me that a good attorney could do a class action suit on this horrendous product - it hasn't improved and they continue to make it the same way!

We are in Florida - they have "millions" of attorneys down here - specialists in everything!!!! We tend to keep tv off because I can't stand to watch them!

They could make millions on this one!!!

The Internet is a great tool to gather information......

Before purchasing a large ticket item, I usually Google and see what others are saying and experiencing trying to be an informed consumer. At least we are able to post our complaints so others have a heads up there are a lot of unhappy owners. Shame on RV Manufacturers for installing them in the first place. Splendide washers are built for RV and Boat installations and cost about same. Afraid many of us will also begin feeling the pain in our wallets with residential refrigerators in our rigs.

The worthless Whirlpool washer has two bath towels in it - refuses to spin them dry! I really hate Whirlpool! And to think I convinced my wife that we should purchase this worthless piece of crap!

14 months old and not sure what to replace it with.

You are absolutely correct. Our Whirlpool refrigerator began throwing water out in the freezer - and of course it was freezing on the bottom of the freezer! Under warranty - they said oh, it needs a deflector to keep the water in the tray. We will fix it! They also fixed the washer at the same time - it worked for about 13-15 loads - now it doesn't spin again!

Of course it will be very inexpensive to replace these worthless Whirlpool appliances! I post as often as I can on facebook - find the Whirlpool page and let them know about the worthless Whirlpool appliances that they sell for RV's.

Late news!
add me to the list. Exact same issue and results.
2016 Ventana 4037 LE. I only lost $160 service fee investment and Tech couldn't find anything wrong because machine fixed itself before he arrived.
Worked for 20 more loads and same thing, no hi speed spin, no error codes, no diagnostics issues.
Who replaced their's and with which manufacturer?
Anyone brave enough to DIY? If so, how many hours involved?

Replaced ours with a Splendide. You'll need at least two strong backs to wrestle out the old washer and get the new one in (those things are HEAVY). I set the new one down in the living room for a bit so I could set the dryer on top and drill for the mounting plates before it was set back into its tight closet.

No rocket science involved, just some strained muscles.

After a full year of Whirlpool grief and five costly repairs, we donated ours to a scrap pile and replaced it with a Splendide. I think the Whirlpool is finally fixed!

We just replaced our POS Whirlpool washer with the Splendide Stackable Washer. Have done about 10 loads so far and it has worked just fine. We are in a 4018 and it is really a tight squeeze to get the washer dryer out and we let Newmar do it. Sometimes it is worth it to give yourself a break.

There has been more then one thread started on this final spin subject.

We have had 2 service calls on ours due to lack of the final spin. The last one was while we were at Newmar. That Whirlpool tech did the door shim fix. It still would only final spin about 3 out of 5 loads.

Someone on here suggested using powder and not pods. My DW started using Splendid powder and it has been doing much better. It probably only fails to spin about 1 out of 12 or 15 loads now.

Lousy Whirlpool washer in our 2014 Ventana has been a major pain ! Serviced under warranty the first time ( Door switch ), then a series of error codes that would come and go - sometimes cleared by breaker on/off, sometimes waiting a day ??
Finally got the F6 code - took the darn thing out of the rear bath closet ( Terrible job btw ! ), ripped it apart to check control board - of course the dimwits who built it installed in the most difficult location. Board was OK - found a semi-loose connection. After reinstalling in closet, worked 2 days.
Gave up and bought an LG 2.3 cu ft. Nice machine, but a little deeper that the Whirlpool, so I had to extend the closet face a bit. Miserable job in all, but happy with the new LG. Even plays a little " Mario " tune when done.

I would encourage anyone having the spin issue to at least try switching to Splindid powder instead of regular pods, and don't use too much powder.

Someone on here suggested that several months ago and like I said in an earlier post it has worked pretty good for us. Something about the soap sensor in these junk Whirlpool models not liking very much soap.

If ours goes back to not spinning a lot then we will be replacing with a Splendid. Had 3 different Splendid w/d units and they all worked perfectly.
