Whirlpool Washing Machine Spin Noise

Our Whirlpool washing machine (W10175588C) has recently gotten louder during the spin cycle. It is not a scraping noise, but just louder "machine" noise. Is this the beginning of a bigger problem? Is there some kind of maintenance that needs to be done (nothing about it in the Whirlpool manual)?

Does anyone recommend calling Newmar or Whirlpool for a diagnosis?

We are full-timers and have used this washer 3 - 4 times a week since May 2016.

Have you checked the “drain clean out” trap ??

It is a worthless Whirlpool! Yours lasted longer than ours!

Whirlpool Washing Machine Fix

Our drain pump had a slightly bent shaft, so we had it replaced and it fixed our problem. There was no debris or lent in the clean out area and we have not lost any clothing items to the washing machine monster, so the cause is unknown.

On another positive note, you can access the drain pump clean out without taking the washing machine out of the cabinet. The bottom cover of the washer snaps off and the clean out is on the bottom right side. Some water will come out, so have a towel at the ready.

The washing machine had to be removed from the cabinet and the top panel and the front panel and door had to be removed to access all the hoses and screws of the water pump.

For what it's worth, here's what I cobbled together while on the road to facilitate the removal of my washer when I had to call Newmar and have the Whirlpool guy come out. I was lucky in that we slid it out and laid it on it's side so he could change the control boards out.

I even managed to get the guy at Lowes to cut the boards the right length for me. It's made from a single 8' 2x6. It's all screwed together with deck screws.
We had to slide the washer in and out a few times because the repair guy had to order parts.

Our washing machine would always shake the coach. We started having trouble when the washer started banging. We were also having the high speed spin problem. We had the Whirlpool Rep in Nappanee look at it and he told us we weren't putting enough clothes in it. One month later something let go in the washer and caused damage inside. Newmar techs said it was the worst they ever saw when they opened it.

Our washer was the WFC7500VW2 model. We now have the Whirlpool model that came with the 2019 coaches and it works very well after almost a year of use. The first washer did not work properly the day we got the coach.

Hope your model is better.

There are other thread on this issue. If you have the white panel on the face of washer, you have the problem child. If you have the black panel on the washer, you have the replacement which seems to work fine. Mid-year or almost EOY Newmar is going to splendide, which we have been told is in ours.
