I have to say all the people we meet at Newmar have been exceptionally helpful and friendly. We have been given so much information and good advice, helping us make our decision on our new coach. Looking forward to joining the Newmar family. Good luck on your coach, and safe travels to all. Bob and Betty

Hope you will love your new Dutch Star! It’s like drinking from a firehose, that’s for sure, but it is all worth it in the end.

For Newmar owners coming for service at the factory the new and much improved RV park across from service center is now open. Looks like about 30 plus sites which are large and complete services. We were part of the 1st night group. Very impressed with both service and now RV park here at Camp Newmar.

When and where will I be able to reserve a spot on the tours? I get in on a Thursday and my service appointment is on Friday and we leave on Saturday. I only have one shot of getting the morning tour.

Ray...we have a service appointment for Sept. 5 and 6. I just called Newmar and told them I wanted a morning tour. They transferred me to right person and she made the reservation for Thursday morning. She told me the morning tours were by reservation only.

Reubenray,

Below is the information on exactly what you need to do- I copied it directly from the Newmar site so it should be accurate.

“Monday, April 1, 2019 Newmar tours will return, offering 2 tours per day. Monday – Friday while production is running between April 1st and December 19, 2019Morning Tours – 8:30 AM eastern time
This is an extended tour–Chassis Prep, Main Production, Paint and Service Center. Newmar will bus people between plants and they will walk each plant. Our bus is not wheelchair accessible. This will take approx. 2 ½ – 3 ½ hours. This tour is limited to 20 people each morning and you will have to call to make a reservation at

800-852-1731”

Hope this helps!!

Lynn

Correction to my prior post.

I identified Mahlon's coach as a 2020 DS but it is in fact a two year old Essex.

Day two and all is well. The camp grounds is only half full and there are only four or five down at the old camp grounds.

65 total sites and there were 34 available on Thursday evening. Haven't counted today but there are plenty with folks leaving on Sunday as well.

The other good news is that now not only can you hear the trains even better, as they are closer, you can see and wave to the Engineer as he blows the horn. Just saying.
