Where to park when going to factory tour?
I apologize in advance. I'm sure this is asked here somewhere, but there are 276 pages of over 3800 responses. I've looked through many of the last 100, but didn't see the same question.
I am coming up in September for a factory tour, not service. I was given a Cheyenne Street address when I called to register for the morning tour. I've looked on Google maps to try to determine where to park, as I'll be there for 2 nights (coming in late afternoon day prior to tour). I see motorhomes in multiple locations, but not sure if those are service, tours or other?
Where should I park, when coming in for factory tour?
Thank you.

Hi rdavis0521,
You are arriving during a time of transition. Follow Newmar instructions. A block from the tour building (east, same street) are some full hookup sites. Take one of these sites.
Not to confuse you, but if these sites are all taken go back to the tour building. Across the street (along Delaware Street) are some electric and water sites. These sites may or may not be available. They were to be eliminated when the new Camp Newmar opened across town.

The Tour meeting room is indeed on Cheyenne and as Gary mentioned there may still be a FHU camping place across the street and may have an empty spot (not sure how many people are still going there because they received the old instructions).
Here is an image of the area and I've highlighted the parking areas - not sure if the overflow is still available, they had installed a new gate post on the exit gate when I was there a few weeks ago.
The best street to come in on is Delaware, off of SR6 - there is a big billboard sign at that corner welcoming you to "Newmar Kountry". If you want a good breakfast, from the FHU site, drive west on Cheyenne and turn right at the next stop sign (Tomahawk) and drive a block to the Dutch Kitchen, BTW all the bldgs you see as you drive there are occupied by Newmar.

Just arrived at Camp Newmar, I don't get much chance while at the factory repair center, to say, 'NICE JOB NEWMAR!!!!' Newmar you did it right! The only shout out I would give to all us owners is, take care of it and put pads under your landing gear we're going to destroy the new concrete...... Just sayin.....

I agree!!
I didn’t put my pads down on the concrete, but I did notice a lot of people are making divots on the new blacktop.

They have fencing around them as of last week. So they are no more. But there is plenty of room at the old CN located at the corner of N. Arnott St. and Cheyenne. Arnott starts and is directly off of US 6 West of Downtown.

Hi - We have been here at the old Camp Newmar location while our new coach is on the line. This location has had empty sites the entire time we have been here. Sometimes down to just two or three residents. The overflow area is also still open but is just 50 amp, no water or sewer. The fence does not close off the area but does restrict entrance to 2 places.
Just remember that at the old CN some sites are back to back. People seem confused about that and wind up using two spaces for their coach.

Tom,
I did see the openings in the fence as well but my guess is they will close that off soon and use that for staging for the drivers to pick up coaches as the lot next to it is used. I really don't see any need for more than the full hook ups in the old CN . There must be 12 - 15 or so and can't imagine any need for more to accommodate just prospective buyers and tour's.

We arrived late Thursday afternoon and set up on a back in on the shop side and a few spots from the west end. Nice facilities!
Train noise isn't that bad but we did get a tip to locate as far west in the lot as possible. I think that works because the service building helps block a lot of the train noise. Regardless, we are sleeping just fine.
Most folks don't use pads and I bet Newmar was plenty smart on the pad designs. If I was going to worry about anything it would be the asphalt. You can easily see lots of tracks where folks have backed in.
A quick tour of things in the customer service area and parts department and all point in between left me impressed. I think the biggest shock was that parts department and the long area for the techs to get parts. NICE! Of course, the size of the service bay is impressive all by itself.
So...Monday the fun begins. LOL

When you go in on Monday look to the left of as you enter the Customer Parts Department. Those large vending machines are the parts bins for each bay.
The tech calls parts from his work station and requests the parts needed, the Parts Department puts the parts in the techs bin. The tech goes back to diagnose or repair the next problem and later the tech goes up and gets the parts he ordered when he needs it. In addition the normal use items, Hose, Solvents, Grease of all types are in a vending machine like you see in the airport for ear phones or Beat buy. They just walk up, insert their code, the door opens and they have their grease, duct tape or what ever.
talk about increasing productivity.
