It is plenty big. Did you consider that they have just lost about four weeks to reduced service and there are folks out here that have appointments set for summer and fall already?

I bet there are also a lot of folks who scheduled service appointments since many campgrounds are closed down and there’s not much else to do.

The service dept is huge. With all that has been going on, I am sure lots of people are making appointments.

I might suggest that if you live in Florida that Mark Lloyd is available with the Newmar Mobile Repair truck for emergency or even normal repairs. He seems quite competent and can do almost anything that can be done at the plant or at dealer with in reason. He is located in south central Florida so can cover most of the lower half of the state and as far north as Ocala.

I think they are using him presently for Warranty work that the local dealers cannot get to or Goodwill work that doesn't pay a local dealer. But if the local dealer is saying we can't get to you for three months that may be a good enough reason for them to send him out to you.

I called on 4 May for a service appointment to get warranty work accomplished, was able to snag an appointment starting on Aug 24th. This is during the canceled International time frame as the techs were not going to be in Rock Springs.

Hi pilotspike,
You are wrong. It is not possible for Newmar to build a service department large enough to significantly reduce the lead time for appointments. Owners return to Newmar time after time because,
1. Professional technicians that only work on Newmar coaches.
2. Techs usually come to service after years on the manufacturing line.
3. Rates are comparable to what dealers charge.
4. Tech leaders are very skilled at working face to face with owners.
5. Techs are very thorough with a coach. They not only repair correctly, they point out things an owner should be aware of for correction.
6. The facility is outstanding.
6a. Shop is large and immaculate.
6b. Owner waiting area is large and comfortable with:
6ba. separate eating room with vending
6bb. separate pet owners lounge
6bc. laundry
6bd. 2 meeting rooms
6be. separate entrance for parts department
7. "campground" has about 50+ spaces (large spaces)
7a. concrete pads
7b. full hookups
7c. access controlled
8. I could go on.

What other manufacturer has this for its owners? If you have never been their, I encourage you to go and experience what Newmar has built for us, their owners.

Currently the service dept. has about 65 bays. They do coach, chassis and engine work. Therefore, if planned this could be a one stop shop.

We canceled our original appointment that was on May 4th. Planning on being heading up there in October now. Newmar was reasonable to allow all our warranty issues that were documented before our date to be addressed on our October appointment.

We're here for service starting this morning. This place is packed. Wonder how many just took advantage of the gate being open?
