[QUOTE="harleychief;1978027"]Well guys we started off coming up here to get the roof radius repainted and recleared. Then decided to have the ride height adjusted and balanced. We had the mid-coach TV removed and had a pantry built for the spot where the TV was. And lastly had the nonfunctioning air horns replaced. I was amazed at how inexpensive all that work was. The DW loves the pantry, but more importantly she said she'd like to get a new one in a couple of years. The one thing that I didn't experience, but wouldn't like is that the owner of a MA, EX, or KA has to take their coach to the high line repair building every morning. It's not that far, but I can see that it would get old quick. [/QUOTE

Harleychief if you don't mind me asking I need my roof radius painted also how long did it take to complete and what's a ballpark cost.
Thanks

It takes 3 days, but if the weather is below 50 at night you won't get your coach back (paint won't cure). I think the price depends on the year of the coach, I paid $1200. for both sides to be sanded; repainted and recleared. It came out really good. The whole project (pantry, paint, coach level) took 4 days.

Two Beautiful Days at Camp Newmar

We arrived Sunday to 58* and lots of sun shine. The Service Center Camp is 40% occupied and nobody in the overflow. Camp has most of the snow gone but there is a bit of gray mud. Shoes off at the door! I had to carry Cooper to the grassy areas.

We're here to get the roof rails & caps painted and a couple of upgrades.

We met Hilton (Jigsup) and Terry (Brigadoon) after we setup. Hilton is here to take delivery of his new Dutch Star. Hilton was pumped. Terry was along to help Hilton spend more $$$. Both are great guys.

Later in the evening we met John (gmpartsvet) and Jeanette from IL. We had a great evening discussing life and RV'ing.

First pic is JohnT, Jigsup and Brigadoon (L to R)
Second pic is a lot of V10 gasser chassis
Third pic is Service Camp - most rigs were already picked up for service.

FYI, we Thought the 6 am service call was a hazing ritual for newbies. 6:15 am Ben and Jason we're knocking on the door.

We drove back home (3.5 hours). We should be back on Friday to pick up the DS.

Going to Factory!

Hi All,

I've been trying to not think about our RV these last few weeks since we ordered her. The anticipation gets to be too much
We plan on being at the Factory April 7th and 8th to watch it go thru what ever state it is in.
Eventually we pick it up from dealer in FL. We're going to have a trike lift installed at the dealer there. This is supposed to happen week of May 12th.
So, if anyone else will be at Newmar this Monday or Tuesday and you want to meet up to talk about all things RV we'd be more than happen too.

Doug and Patty

The rig is a DSDP 4038 and our first.

Your first,aye.

So you're saying it's going to be a game changer?

I hope you get many, many great miles out of her.

Please start a thread when you get the lift installed. I think there is a lot of interest about them.

Going to bring it dirty to Hoots II. I know a guy there who really cleans them up great. And the toad too!

Do YOU need an Essex or King Aire brochure????? I'll see if they'll allow me to have one.

JohnT --

While at Camp Newmar tomorrow, do pick up a '14 King Aire brochure for FLSteve. I just trail in his wake and do what he does. It's always worked out just fine and he never steers me wrong.

Congrats on the work and safe travels home. Be sure to tell all our fabulous Newmar friends that the Hoots say hello.

Deek
