Hello all. We are on our way to our first visit to Newmar. Sounds like things are a bit crowded there. Planning on arriving on Saturday but if they are going to be full, not sure what our options might be. Would rather hang out another day at Chain of Lakes than be there with no hookups. Will anyone on the forum be there on Friday? Might like to pick you brain about the status.

Just curious if anyone on the forum ended up without a spot. How would we handle Monday's check-in?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Service usually wraps up coaches on Thursday and Friday. Depending on each person's schedule will determine when they leave. Some leave right away. Other's linger for a day (weekend day) or two for more of the most expensive free camping there ever was. Once there, look for coaches with no placard in the passenger front window. These coaches might be ready to leave. If so, make a deal and park your toad or coach so you are ready to occupy as they pull out. Have the coach leaving put a cone there to give you a few minutes to get your coach in position.

Beware, this does not always work. There are Newmar owners who think they deserve a full hookup spot and will fight to the death to get a spot.

If you are still there and leaving on Tuesday, let me know. What are you driving? I will walk over on Tue morning to see if there is an opening. I am in the overflow at #108.

We took off right after our tech left for the day. We got back to the coach at 11pm. Bed Bath and Beyond as well as Target had a big boost in revenue today! It is now 12:30am local, and Bob, our tech knocks on the door at 6am. The 4:30 alarm is not going to be cheerfully greeted😾.

Thanks Gary. We will keep our fingers crossed and make the best of it regardless.

We plan on taking at least one of the tours next week so if anyone has a coach in production that would like some pictures, let us know and we will be happy to try to get some for you.

Hi Everyone! If anyone has the time, and are taking a tour, we would love to have as many pics possible of our new coach being built. It is scheduled to be in Building 7 8/13-8/19. The coach number is 530325. 2016 King Aire I would post a picture of the colors, but don't know how to send it. Thanks so much! Regards, Paul

We drove my the lot today and it sure is busy! We are having some cabinets added by Gene Miller's company but we are staying at the PlyMor campground just down the road

We took a little ride through camp Newmar last night after getting some rocket science ice cream I don't think I've ever seen that many coaches in the lot looked like everyone was having a good time

We arrived Monday morning for factory delivery of our new coach. The first two nights we we're in the overflow lot on Delaware. Yesterday we got a slot with full hookups on Arnnot. Our tech has been busy with addons and a few small items. He found some things and so did we. Today we filled the water and fuel tanks and took it for a run. It was GREAT!! We then brought it in for a four point weigh. Tire pressures will be set accordingly.

We've met some really nice people ( both employees and fellow Newmar owners). It really is "the Newmar family". Life is good!!!
