Hi VACMAN,
August is going to be a tough appointment to get for Newmar service. The NKK International Rally is about 30 miles away (in Goshen) August 3-7. Newmar usually shuts down factory service to take care of the coaches at the rally. Combine this with owners spending time before and after the rally at the factory for service and the log jam looks large.

Our MH is in the paint shop now. We will return to Newmar on 6-1 or 6-2. We will probably be there for several days ( finishing touches and wife's shopping) before we head South.

Camp newmar is packed this week, with the short 4 day week and all.The techs are up to their eyes with coaches in both shops.Never seen it so busy here.I had to schedule a couple of items to be finished and i got in the week before the goshen rally which did not look to busy but they may keep it that way in preperation for the rally. The production line started up monday 5/18 and had orders to run for a month which is good news here for newmar. With the shops open for non newmar motorhomes it looks like newmar could double their shop capacity easily and still have work to do. Look forward to the goshen rally in august,it should be a good one.!!

Bigblock,
That's Great news about Newmar building again. Even if it's for a month....It's better than nothing. That was a long dry spell. From Dec. to mid May........ I hope it gets better?

We're scheduled for work on June 8th. Paint and awning issues. Not warranty. We hope to arrive at Camp Newmar on June 5th if there's room.

Steve glad to see you and Lynette findly made it out of Tampa East. We were hoping to meet up with you, but spend extra week Yellowstone/Cody area. Right now in one of your favorite place "the Ranch" will be here until 6/16 and will get into Nappanee area Friday.
Heart Ranch and the Black Hill are beautiful and will come back out this way next Sept.
Is Louise back working or is Phil getting our hopes up.
Joe

Hey Joe:

We MIGHT still be here next Fri. (6/19), but will hopefully be on our way by then. (No!...not cause your coming ) We arrived Thurs. (6/11) and there was only one spot left. All spots were occupied yesterday (Fri. 6/12) and so far, here on Sat. it's still full. Hope there's a spot for ya next Fri. when you arrive.

Don't know for sure about whether Louise is here or not. She sure wasn't here Thurs. nor yesterday (Fri.) and my understanding is that for now there is NO receptionist at the desk, although Jeanne in parts is doing all she can to service both parts and reception. Did Phil indicate Louise is now back????? Hadn't heard that. Anyway, have a great trip. Hope we meet up with you somewhere. Steve & Lynette

The appointment confirmation letter states in 2 different areas that
1. "you may call Louise Haney, lobby hostess, at"
2. "Our lobby hostess Louise will be happy to act as your concierge during your visit."
If Louise is not back Phil should have taking that out of the letter. Barbara and I get along good with Louise. She almost invited Barbara over to see her flower garden last year. A lot of the flowers came from her garden.
A little off subject. Anyone who has not stayed at the Hart Ranch in Rapid City SD should next time out in this area. Had a 2in piece of Prime Rib last night $10.99 at their restaurant. One of the top 3 resorts/CG we have stayed at.
Price was right $10 for C2C also a RPI and maybe 1 other also open to the public.

Yup....we liked "da ranch" so much that we pchd. a used membership last year,... not only since we liked the place, but also because we LOVE the Black Hills area in general.

Re: Louise. Nope...she's no longer here at Nappanee.

See ya next Friday.....unless were finished by then. Have a good trip.

Got a PM about Louise and was told that Phil hasn't changed form letter.
We agree about the Black Hills will be back in September for our next loop around the country.
Will be in area of factory Thursday. Have not decided what CG will stay at for a couple of days. Maybe overflow lot or Pla-Mor down the road.

Joe & Barbara

WOW made it to Camp Newmar, main lot full. We stopped by the overflow and about 3 rigs in for service [have cards in window] plus 2 of us for monday. Couple of others stopped by for factory tour. Today was last tour for awhile.
Had the 2 easy days of driving in a long time, no traffic backlogs, no packed roads, and the best everyone was going the other way-west.
On way in saw Chickadee going out with the toad.
