Why are my entry steps squeaking

Have the HWH three step hydraulic entry stairs. A few days ago they started to squeak. Lubed them in several locations but squeak returns. Is this an omen of something bad about to happen.

Did you go underneath and lube from below? On mine the vast majority of lube points are inaccessible from above.

Mine started after about six months and am now at the 2.5 year mark. They show wear along the base plate the skids run on. I use candle wax but it lasts only for a short time. The squeak will come and go. Nothing bad has happened yet.
