**Edit : Hey docj...do you have the URL for that screenshot where you can select the device type?
Hi docj...thanks for sharing you were able to get it to work just now.
There must be either something I'm doing wrong then. I tried again today using incognito mode and its still doing the same thing for me. The strange thing is it doesn't say it can't find my IMEI...for me it seems to let me just continue.
This is the order of the URLs that it takes me through
start here:
https://www.att.com/prepaid/mobile-hotspot-tablet/
then here where I enter my SIM and IMEI #
https://www.att.com/prepaid/activations/#/activate.html
then here where I select "activate 1 device"
https://www.att.com/prepaid/activati...tion-type.html
Then here where I select 100GB/mo $55'month plan
https://www.att.com/prepaid/activati...-rateplan.html
Then here where it asks for my email
https://www.att.com/prepaid/activati...onal-info.html
after that it cycles and then kicks me back to the activation page
https://www.att.com/prepaid/activations/#/activate.html
sorry for bothering everyone I just wanted to list it all out as how I'm doing it cause maybe I'm doing something wrong on my end.
docj when is that page you screenshotted showing up for you? Right after you enter the info in the activation page? If so then I'm not sure why mine is letting me get further along only to fail.
I'm going to have to go and try the ATT store later today to see if they can help.
I appreciate everyone's help and input. Thanks again!

NOTE ADDED: I just now opened an incognito tab on Chrome and entered my Aspen's IMEI and the site immediately went to the screen where it asked me to define what type of device the IMEI was associated with. There may well have been a cookie/cache problem that we have all been unaware of.
For those who haven't yet been able to get to the screen where you can "define" the type of device you have, I've posted it here as an attachment.
