Will a queen mattress fit through the entry door?

Hello all,

I’m planning to replace the queen mattress in my Ventana before the 2023 camping season begins this spring. My assumption is that the old mattress and the new mattress will fit through the entry door, but I’m not 100% sure. Can somebody here confirm that this is the case?

My mattress is a 60” x 80” queen. I believe it will fit through the door if the 80” side is down closest to the floor, in “landscape” orientation. Bending around the passenger’s side captain chair and then down into the stairwell concerns me.

It won’t be a problem. We have a 72 x 80 in our DS and have moved mattresses in and out several times just the way you describe.

Put a blanket down on the floor at the steps and entrance. Have someone inside pulling while you push. The blanket helps it slide while you bend it around the passenger seat. The FWS needs to be open, at least partially, to make the turn. We've installed both kings and queens through the front door.

I had my new mattress installed today. The mattresses went in and out of the main entry door without any issues.

My coach had the standard mattress that was supplied by Newmar, not the upgraded Sleep Number Bed. We’re the second owners of the coach, so we really wanted a new mattress. I purchased a new mattress with radiused corners from Denver Mattress; the Doctor’s Choice Hybrid model. It looks to be a nice upgrade over the factory RV mattress from Elkhart Bedding.
