Windshield Gasket Repalcement Suggestions

Hi - in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for the winter. Windshield gasket is separating from the glass on our Mountain Aire and I wondered if anyone was familiar with a reliable repair centre in the Valley or on I35 northbound for when we return home in the spring. Thx.

Darrell

Darrell, I can't help with locating a company, but I would recommend doing it where you're at and letting it settle/dry, versus having it done on the road and driving off.

If you're talking about the approximately 2" wide black trim it is just held on by 3m double sided tape. The windshield is held in by a urethane adhesive.

Windshield Gasket Replacement

Thx for the response. Called Ron Hoover and they recommended a guy they use "Texas Star Glass" (Meme). He came to my site, removed the rubber gasket and re-sealed the windshield with the butyl caulk. Also determined that my roof mounted marker lights were leaking and re-sealed them.

If you own and older coach possible problem with the fiberglass hood panel below windshield dropping and pulling windshield out the top of its cutout opening top of windshield..
The panel may need reinforcement to keep windshield from dropping, this and many other problem fixes can be found in this sticky link.
