Windshield Pull-Down Shade

Would someone tell me how to go about removing the large windshield window shade on my '07 DSDP? It is getting quite grungy looking and I'd like to lay it out on the deck and give it a gentle cleaning and maybe even spray painting the weather side with silver paint to help deflect a bit more heat. Thanks for any info!

I can't tell you how to remove it but we cleaned a similar fabric on a class "c" unit by soaking them in a bath tub full of Oxyclean. Rinsed well and let them dry while folded up Hope it works for you.

Thanks for the tip! Cleaning the shade will be a winter project so I've got plenty of time to figure out how the shade comes out.
