Windshield replacement
A small stone chip turned into a huge crack in my windshield. Now I need to have the windshield replaced on a 2016 DSDP.
Recommendations in the Atlanta area greatly appreciated

Call Guardian Glass 855-362-2784, they will manage insurance claim on your behalf. They claim to be #1 Original Equipment Windshield Supplier.

I'd go to NIRVC in Lawrenceville and let them manage the change out for you.

NIRV appears to be the best option, since Guardian advised that the windshield was on backorder and no mobile installer available in the Atlanta area.

Make sure they deal with RV Glass replacement if its like a local Phillips Glass you do not want to go there.
The fiberglass needs complete cleaning and you need to call Newmar for the correct rubber mount seal for size for your model year.

I would suggest calling the nearest Newmar service center and see who they recommend. I needed a replacement for my Ventana in Tampa, FL and the company recommended by the dealer was top notch.

Just a related note: A stone chip in the windshield really needs to be repaired as soon as possible. This is not only to help prevent cracking the windshield, but for another reason too. Windshield are made as laminated glass. That is, it basically is a composite of a glass sandwiching a film. When the glass gets a chip, the film between the glass get exposed to the environment. In time water will penetrate the film. It will then start spreading into the surrounding film material. This will begin to cause a cloudy view in the area of the chip which will probably increase in size. Once this happens it can not be reversed. Repairing the chip down months after might only help prevent future cracking of the glass, but the cloudy damage will still be there.

I won't take credit for this but I carry some clear packing tape for just such an eventuality. As soon as you can after you get the stone chip pull over and cover the chip with the clear tape. It will keep water and dirt from getting into the chip and will make for a much better repair. I recently got my first rock chip on our new coach and followed the above procedure and the repair is barely noticeable and I know where to look.

We have replaced a number of windshields over the past 35 years and each time I have just called my insurance company and they put me in contact with the people to replace the windshield, and everything is taken care of just fine.
