Windshield Replacement

I need to find a quality windshield shop in the Midwest. I have a 2015 Dutch Star with the good fortune of having replaced a windshield each year since I purchased it in 2015.

My experience with City Glass located in Oklahoma City has been a nightmare. To my knowledge they are the only shop able to handle Newmar coaches in the state of Oklahoma. I am willing to travel in a 500 mile radius of OKC to find a quality shop.

HELP!!!!

Have you considered NIRVC, 200 miles south in Lewisville, Tx?

Nappanee, IN is only 880 miles from Oklahoma City.

Won't the Newmar dealer in Oklahoma City, Leisure Time RV, assist you in replacing the windshield?

Leisure Time will farm it out to City Glass. They did a poor job on mine as well.
Good luck.

FWIW check with franchise glass companies such as Binswanger. They did mine and did a great job. They get the glass from the OEM just like everyone else. As they told me is just a bigger piece of glass. Same process of removing the old and installing the new.

Check with FMCA if you are a member. They have a discount program with Guardian Glass. It is only $60 to join if you are not a member.

Call Safelite Glass. They have an RV division.

I will reach out to the options you have all suggested. What I have discovered in my research is City Glass did not use OEM replacement plus the install is nowhere near the Newmar install when built. I found an instruction process dated 2010 with detailed step by step procedures to be used when installing Dutch Star windshields that seems to still be in use today.

Thanks,

General question. Does each Newmar coach model have a unique windshield or do some models share windshield part numbers? Looking at images of the various late model Newmar DP coaches they all look similar.

I live in Mc Alester...I took mine to Searcy AR. RV Fog Doctor, best people in the business for glass work of any kind. Hook ups outside for overnight camping. An enclosed shop that is AC. And the best shop guys and management you will find.
