Windshield Wiper Function

The windshield wipers on my 2006 Kountry Star DP will not work on "intermittent". They work when the switch is on the slow speed and high speed modes, but when I turn the switch off, they stop where the switch is turned off. If it's in front of my face, or to the right or left, that's where they stop. I have to play with the switch to get them out of my way.

I replaced the wiper switch with a new one, but they work the same. Do I need to replace the motor, or is there a module somewhere that controls this function?

Actually, the wipers will work on "intermittent" mode, but they will go approximately a foot at the time and then stop, and then another foot and stop. For all practical purposes, they don't work on "intermittent".

On our Spartan chassis for our Essex when we had similar problems which also caused the cruise control to not work the problem was the control box on the smart steering wheel. The controller was in the outside cabinet under drivers seat and is black box attached to the front of inside. Cost over 500$ dollars so might check to see if connection are tight and clean. Did that cabinet get water inside?

I don't have a smart steering wheel. However, I will check and see if I can find a control box. Before I ordered the wiper switch from Newmar, I asked a technician if there was a control module for the wipers. He said there wasn't. I'm thinking he's mistaken. I'll check the outside cabinet. Thanks for the info.

Wipers

I had the same thing happen on my truck awhile back. It turned out to be the wiper motor not returning to what is called the park position. Check that out first.
