Winter Shutdown 2021
Does anyone know the dates for the winter production shutdown this year? I know that Parts is closed Friday 12/17 for inventory, but I do not know if that means all of production is shutdown as well, nor when they reopen.
I am assuming the shutdown is 12/20/2021 thru 1/3/2022, but curious if anyone knows for sure.

"My dealer said" we are expecting delivery of our new coach 1/3/22.
Can't see Newmar shutting down just before the new year and still making a delivery. Something doesn't sound right to me...
Time to ask a few questions.

My sales rep just got back to me...the winter shutdown is in fact 12/20/2021 thru 1/3/2022.
Lab00Rat -- your coach will be finished on 12/20/221 (or before), but will not be released until 1/3/2022. That means all production is scheduled to be complete well before the 12/20 shutdown, and the QCI steps and release are all that remain. It may be pushed because of this shutdown, if they find a problem when they return well rested and ready to look closer

It just makes me nervous because I cannot "find" my coach in the system by tracking with production numbers. Newmar has been silent for a month on emails and phone calls (understandable), but no update on progress has me wringing my hands. This is a huge purchase for us, and it's coming right at the worst time of the year for production.
Everything in this world is spinning the wrong way, and I just want something to go right for once.

Your salesman from the dealer should be able to make one phone call to Newmar and give you an update.

I am currently at Newmar and per Brian Fuchs who I met with today confirmed those dates.

Or does it mean it will all be finished before 12/20, but they had a great 2021 year. So why not move the business into 2022 and ship in 2022. Start off the year with a bang and have a parking lot full of finished product to release day one??? Moving all that WIP into Finished Goods inventory where you recognize the most profits.
