Wiper blades

2019 Dutch Star. Wipers were on in a rainstorm and for some reason they got out of synch and hit each other at the top of the arc. Passenger side arm was bent 45 degrees about 5 inches from the tip. I am trying to find 35 inch replacements and all are out of stock. The part is Wiper Technology WT900V or the same blade is BA900V which is a Winnebago part number. My question is: will 32 inch blades and arms work? There are plenty of those available (Trico, Bosch) with the same arm and mounting 21mm saddle. Has anyone tried the 32 inch?

I shortened mine because the two got hung up on each other. I've read that others went shorter as well. As long as it wipes so you can see ok seems fine to me.

Just this last spring I replaced what I assume were the original wiper blades with the WT900V. They have never really worked well from the beginning due to not following or bending to the contour of the windshield well and on our last trip a few weeks ago were horrible in a hard rain we encountered. They seem to be much stiffer than what was on my rig that actually followed the windshield contour quite well. I will be replacing them with shorter ones...probably the 32" version.

I just replaced mine last week on my 2019 Dutch Star and you're right, everyone was out of stock.....except O'Reilly Auto Parts had them. It really surprised me. They were a little pricey at $104 for the pair.

I just checked....they're now showing out of stock....

I found mine by plugging in the part number into a search and just kept looking.

I tried the Trico 67-321 wiper blades. You said "blades and arms", I can tell you that the 32" wipers did not fit the stock arms. The 32" wipers had a ˝ inch saddle which is quite a bit less than the 21 mm needed.

I use the longest Walmart has, never had a problem. For me 32's work fine. There only 1.5" shorter on each end.

Wiper blades

On the DSDP and VDP one of the issues is the nuts come loose causing the soft metal insert to let the arms move on the shaft causing them to be out of position and interfere with each other.

Once they get loose the arms need to be replaced because once the insert is damaged they will not hold. I have added thin M12 nuts as jam nuts over the original ones. And just a drop down Permatex Orange thread locker. It is high strength but doesn’t require heat to remove.

Before I did this after every time we traveled and used the wipers I checked the tightness of the nuts and always found them loose. The torque spec is 75 ft/Lbs.

Just get 28” blades that are readily available at any auto parts store. I have 32’s on my rig, but my backup set is 28”. Once the backups are on I will use 28 going forward. I came to the realization I didn’t need to clear the entire windshield and 28” gives a large enough coverage area. Less stress on the motors and arms as well.

I just ordered the Trico OEM replacement set for our Ventana LE (part 67-361) from Amazon....supposed to arrive in about a week. Came to $80 with tax for the pair. They are 36" blades.

Mine have come out of adjustment twice, not sitting horizontal when parked. This time I adjusted them and torqued the arms to about 60 foot pounds, waited a day and torqued them to about 65 pounds. I will torque them one more time to 70-75 pounds. Each time they take about a quarter turn. Definitely settling in.

My wipers have a wide saddle mount. Have tried switching to the longest wiper Walmart has but the saddle was too narrow. Did you have that problem and if so what did you do?

The Trico 67-361 is available from a trustworthy dealer on eBay for $35. I've ordered from them a couple of times and they have been very helpful for a special project.
