Wiper Blades - are they just standard blades?

Needing to change wiper blades on a 1998 Dutch Star. I measured the blades and they are 24”. Can I just buy blades at a local auto supply store or are they different?

blades are blades length may be problem. if you can't find that length just buy 1 inch shorter. you will never notice the 1/2 inch loss at the top and bottom.

Check your wiper arms and the attachment configuration.
I like the Trico Heavy Duty Series blades and in the smaller sizes 20 - 28" you can still get refills. They are used on many Cl A MHs

Trico 67-241

or

Trico 68-241

Available at some auto / truck parts stores... CW...

Hi quebow03,
It is the arm connection that can grab you. Length is length. Any auto parts store will carry them. I use rain x. Consider taking the old arm into the store with you. NAPA also has them.

Ok. I’ll pop one off and take it with me to the store.

You may want to do some quick research making sure the blades on the RV are the correct size. Have seen situations where blades were replaced with something available which was not correct size. Trico has a size chart for rvs.

Anyone found something that actually wipes the entire sweep area. On my DS the wipers only cover a portion of the sweep. Somewhere a few years ago I saw blades that were flexible. Now I wonder if they would work better?

I was at Transwest getting the ATS service bulletin completed and saw a new brand of wiper blades. Made by Wiper Technologies. Pricing appears to be very competitive.

List of part numbers for coaches at http://www.dieselequipment.com/files...echBooklet.pdf

The Trico website has a pretty good "Find Your Wiper Size" guide. Looks like their are 5-6 retailers near me too.

24" Trico RV 68-241 blade at Rockauto close-out for $1.26 each. Enter 5% discount code MMEAJ18 in the "how did you hear about us" box. I just ordered 6. With shipping was about $18.
