Wiper motor fuse location 2000 DS Freightlier
I'm trying to help a friend repair his wipers which stopped working during a heavy rain storm. The first item is to confirm the fuse is good. But we can't find it's location
We've searched the fuse panel forward of the steering wheel, the 2 panels above the generator and the 12V panel above the bed. I'm out of suggestions???
He's got a 2000 Dutch Star on a Freightliner chasis.
Help!!!!

The only thing we have for reference for fusing is this link out of COM_NET it has applied for any DP coach up till now, if they ever change it, link will be posted.

So far no good
So if anyone has a +/-2000 DS on a Freightliner chassis and can help, we really need to find this.
Thanks

On my 1999 Dutch Star, i have three fuse panels--
1. On the back wall above the bed
2. Under the dash behind a fold down door.
3. Under the "hood" on the firewall.
I made a list of all of these a few years ago. and the wipers are not on any of them.
Therefore, I presume that it is an in-line fuse or perhaps there is a hidden fuser block under the dash.
I don't do "under the dash" well, but that is the best advise I can give.

Mike
Above the generator and behind an Acrylic Cover should be two Plastic Covered Fuse Panels. As I90Toms pictures show the Fuse is mislabled as IGN 1. Since this is easy to access, you might try pulling this fuse to confirm it protects the Wipers and maybe some other stuff.

The final saga of our friends 2000 DS was he and his brother had found another 12v power source and rewired the wiper circuit. Having done this before we got I90Tom's reply and pictures. They got the wipers to work but the Windshield washer did not work.
Hopefully, when he gets home he will correct the wiring.
Thanks again for all the replies!!!

I know this thread is old but just this last Friday night I had the same question. This answer saved me one heck of a lot of trying to figure it out time. My new to me 2000 40’ DSDP also has the wiper/washer 10A fuse labeled ign. My wipers were working fine as we drove into and out of thunderstorms Friday night then in a dry spot I decided to hit the washer function to debug a bit and bam no more wipers. I figured the pump was shorted on my washer reservoir and blew the fuse. Luckily I made it to my parking place WM before the rain came back (just barely) I looked at all 3 fuse boxes only to see nothing about wipers. I decided to ck the forum and there it was. Thanks for the archives.
Ricky
