Not sure which Carling L Series switch Newmar used in the 2008 models, but in my 2016 Dutch Star the driver's side window switch is a Carling L28D1AN0100000000.
I attached a photo of the switch in my coach showing the connected wiring, a Carling L Series datasheet file, and a wiring diagram I created showing the connections for adding a second switch in the exterior bay beneath the driver's seat. Your cab switch wiring may be similar.
