Wonders of "PLASTX"

A couple of weeks back, I was talking to a fellow camper and the subject came around about dulling headlights and as I have a 06 Mountain Aire with them, I asked if he had heard of anything better or cheaper than the motorized kits out to brighten them up. He told me about Meguirer's Plastx and actually cleaned a small section of my lights in about 2 minutes.
This stuff really works and isn't hard to apply .....................

With everything that's out there you wonder what is a scam or what isn't. Nice to see something that someone has tried which actually works. Thanks.

I use it too. Only problem is the lights will slowly fog again after a few weeks.

I bought a can of surplus air force plastic cleaner for $1.00, it works well too. I also spray mine with 303.

Yes, I agree. I put some sealer wax on them and it helped keep them clean for about 2 or 3 months, then it has to be re-done.....

Vinyl Striping Too

I used it on my vinyl striping and man it took all the nasty grodies off them too...but, didn't last too long. I am prepping now for Poli Glow, and using Bar Keepers Friend, works fantastic on the fiberglass and the vinyl, removes acid rain and oxidation very well. But love the Plastic X !

AW SHUCKS!!!....I was excited about the info on "PLASTX", .....but it looks like it's not a fix for fogging headlight lenses, just another short lasting cover-up.....DANG.

Why to the engineers who design these things, come up with junk that won't withstand the elements??? I mean, after all, we've all likely seen headlight lenses from as far back as the early 1940's that are as clear as when installed...well, maybe a little greenish, but, still,....CLEAR!!

Steve

Yes, but it takes very little effort, just rub it on and rub it off. Keep it handy and use it whenever you wash your coach....
