Workhorse w-22 shocks

As a "newbie", if this has been asked before, I apologize.

BUT.....I am picking up my "new to me" 2004 Mountain Aire, gas, Workhorse W-22 chassis, at the end of the month.

Been reading the posts about SHOCKS!
Having driven this coach, it seems to drive well, but as a rookie, I'm not sure about the shocks. Seriously considering replacing them, when I get the coach back home to Virginia. Sway bar's are another topic, I'm sure.

Considerimg the Koni shocks, but looked at Bilstein as well.

I read a "comparison" test, & it stated that the Koni's reduced corner roll & provided good damping. Article then stated that the Bilstein's provide a softer ride, & all but eliminated the expansion joint bump felt. So, the article confused me more than ever.

What experience have y'all had with these shocks, the damping , the corner roll, expansion joint bumping, etc., especially on a gas model?

What recommendation? I have an idea what I think, but need the expertise of you, the experienced coach owners.

Sorry for the long post....but I just want what's best, more important, what's safest, & provides the most stability!

Thanks for your help!

Bilstein's were added to all Workhorse chassis's in 2004 to remove the porpoising that was on earlier years and I added them on my 2003 as I always did on my Ford's.
Couple of links for you important Workhorse info and OEMY's web site.

Switched from Bilstein to Koni. Comfort difference was substantial. But have to keep in mind the Bilstein shocks may have been worn out. But can say the Koni shocks make the ride very nice.

Do you have a Workhorse chassis with leaf springs and an I-beam front axle?
Apples to Oranges.
