Xantrex "Battery Store" question

I have a new Progressive 50 amp EMS that I plan to install later this week. I am wondering if the battery store switch cuts all power to the load center, ATS and associated wiring? I've never tested it prior to this.

I presume it would be safer to lift the negative and possibly the positive lead from the battery bank. (yes, I plan to test voltage)

Opinions please.

Thanks in advance

Nothing? Normally I would have about 6 or 8 opinions.

The battery store switch has nothing to do with shore power. It cuts the 12 volt power to the 12 volt house items.

Pull the 50 amp plug, leave the generator off and your safe.

The inverter, if you have one, is past the ATS and will not back feed.

Thank you Twinboat. The last time I unhooked the batteries, our Xantrex remote freaked out. It took about 10-12 recharges before the remote read accurately again. I was hoping to avoid that. And yes, I knew to unplug shore power but thanks for the reminder.

Much appreciated.
