xantrex inverter

Good morning,
Trying to pull anchor today to start our family trip but the gremlins are attacking.
I put in four new house batteries in yesterday and all seemed well. I did due dilligence and took pictures before I took them apart.

Well, for some reason the inverter fan wont shut off. I've powered everything down and shut everything off and the fan is still running. There are no lights on on the inverter just the fan.

We have an 04 Newmar Dutchstar 4025. Also as an aside, another gremlin. I keep poping turn signal fuses.

Thanks all, back to the pre flight list. Zerks, water, air, food, ect ect.

That is strange. Is the "on" fan the reason you had to buy new batteries?
Maybe it would help if you told us what model inverter you have, and is it combined with the converter? Inverters are usually wired directly to the battery pack with short, fat cables. I would read the voltage at the input side of the xantrex first. I don't think powering down would turn off the inverter power because there is usually no switch between the batteries and the inverter. I do not have your brand of motor home.

Sorry, Xantrex is all it says on it. It is an inverter white box connected to the batteries by large cables. Just checked on it while the generator is on the fan is now off on the xantrex. Very strange.
The old batteries were old and swollen and wouldnt hold a charge.
Thanks for the repplies.

Hi there , my convertor charger and invertor, will run the cooling fan for for 10>15 mins after I un-plug from shore power to finish it's cool down cycle. I always thought it was normal. Fan won't run at all, even when connected, when the compartment temp is below 40f.
