Xite radio in 2018 DS is frozen - screen display is on, touch screen does not respond. Power button will not turn it off.
Pulled fuse labeled Nav and this does nothing.
Any ideas?

This will probably be no help, but assume when you said press power button, you held it for an extended period? If I recall one time when mine locked up, holding the power/volume button for 10 seconds or so (might have been more/less, but it was obvious when it worked) caused it to restart.

Turn house batteries off and on
Then get the update at Rand McNally

P.S.

Two other things.

If you haven't tried, you can also make sure there is no external power and then turn of power to the coach via the switch near the door.

Once you do have it re-started, if you haven't installed any software patches, then you should do so. There were threads last year about the unit freezing up and that Rand McNally and the Xite people worked on a patch that was released.

Thanks all, I will give the power down a try and upgrade the software via the card when we get back to a computer

Make sure you also load the appropriate software , see post 9 in the thread I provided.

Ok our 2019 the panel above the xcite is just attracted with Velcro. Pull the panel off and you can disconnect the xcite plug with power to cycle. Don't have to cycle the entire coach that way.

That to do that a couple times, but mostly seems to be when I have turned it on/off repeatedly in a short time while parked

Agreed. Mine did this the other day for the first time. I have the new card and I shut the battery. switch off and turned it back on and it worked fine.

Mine isn’t froze up but can anyone tell me how to get rid of “speed warning”???? I can’t take it anymore

To make matters worse the speed limits in the Nav are ridiculously wrong.

Thanks Stuart!! Found it. I raised alert to 8 mph instead of the 5 mph it was set at. It was killing me as I will drive 60 in a 55 with cruise on and would always gain 1-2 mph down a hill. Now, any ideas on having the NAV speed limits correct? just kidding, thanks again

Your welcome, I’m sure you did but others may not know that the RV tools section has many vehicle specific parameters to adjust. If you don’t set the vehicle Information accurately, the RV specific warnings are useless. IE; height, weight, axles etc.
