The Xcite box can do a lot of neat things but you have to study the manual to learn them.

Nav Volume

Just wondering if anyone ever figured this out? I have the same issue, cannot hear the nav prompts unless the radio is blasting. I generally have to just look at the pictures to figure out what it wants me to do.

This is pretty frustrating, because every vehicle I have ever had would work by muting the radio volume while the nav is giving directions. But I agree about the overall quality of the Rand McNally system, it pretty much sucks. Thanks in advance if anyone knows a solution to this.

what i'm wishing Xite would give us is the option to totally mute the radio not just when the GPS is speaking...but still hear the GPS. I like silence in the cab especially when navigating multiple turns in quick succession. the GPS in our Jeep Liberty has this function.

I also like silence (except for GPS) at times...seems to me I change the source to one without input (maybe Aux?). I think that works...

Found it (Aux) by accident trying to find the secret handshake to adjust the Nav Volume. This post is really helpful to me. It is really hard to think when the collision avoidance keeps BLARING at you. Read the Manual, why would I start Now!!!!!
