Yet another slide concern.

The right rear ( bedroom dresser) slide seems to porpoise as it extends and retracts. Also noticed deep roller marks in the carpet after storing.
Wondering if this may be the infamous slide bolt issue.
I haven’t checked them in a year or so, last time 2 slides needed 1/2 a turn each, I think the front 2.
Should these be torqued with slide in or out?

It could be bolts again this link has everything plus a new way of using different bolt arrangement to keep tight on a check list top of link.
Coach's newer than 2004 need the bolts checked every year at least.
Make sure the awning is working smoothly on that slide, not to tight.

After owning Newmar coaches with slides for 23 years the slide out motor bolts are a big concern because yes if the bolts come loss it will effect the slide out room movement either in or out. Have owned a 04 Essex with 4 slides your coach has 4 3/8 bolts with 9/16 headed bolts holding the motor to the slide assembly. It doesn't make an difference when securing the bolts if in or out with slide. Do them one at a time and do use Lock-Tight blue and torque to 35 ft. lbs. On the Essex and now with our 18 London AIre I changed from bolts to studs to get more thread depth in motor bolt hole
and then use 2 nuts on each stud. Don't over tighten either the bolts or if you change to studs.

"rlott2k"....Since you tightened them in the last year or so I would check them, but I would also look at where the slide rails attach to the bed frame. On my 2019 and 2014 DS, there is a set of slide rails, both sides of the bed, that attach the bed base and slide to the rail system. Mine were loose along with others. It requires pulling the floor up, inside the bed storage, to see the bolts. I would get a light and look for any wear or odd movement.

Hi rlott2k,
Mine does the same thing. Been doing it since new. All bolts are tight. I do not concern myself with it.

It’s not the bed slide. It’s the tv slide.

It’s just that the roller marks in the carpet are new. It appears the electric locks are pulling the top in and either pushing the bottom out or the bottom isn’t coming in as much. It’s not a huge difference though.
