2003 Alpine Propane tank

I had a question
How long is the coach propane tank good for?

Does it ever have to be replaced?
It looks in good shape.

Someone said they have expiration dates

You have incorrect information.

Portable tanks DO have to be inspected.

Permanently mounted tanks do not.

The portable tanks do have to be inspected after 10 years and recertified. A frame mounted motorhome tank is an ASME tank and does not require recertification. Just look the tank over for any signs of rust. sand the rust and prime, then repaint the tank.

It’s a tank (ASME) vs cylinder (DOT) thing.
