2003 FDTS / Vanity Slide

We have a 2003 FDTS that had a battery compartment fire on the way home after buying it. We just got it back after almost 1 - year of repairs by a local dealer & Camping World collision center. We observed that the vanity slide in the bedroom goes out but doesn't seem to go against the inside wall like the other slides. In fact, I would guess that it's probably 5 - 6" away from the inside wall when it stops. We're concerned because the collision center worked on this slide and may not have it working correctly.

Can someone verify for us that it's extending out properly?

Thanks,
Bob & Connie

The vanity slide is driven by scissor-like hydraulic rams--if you open the rear closet door and look behind the wood trim on the vanity slide, you will see two adjustable bolts. If the metal frame of the slide contracts these bolts, your slide is fully extended. Given this scissor design, the wood trim on your vanity will remain several inches away from the wall. At best the vanity only opens 12" or so--maybe 14".

Thanks Old Scout! Based upon your description, it looks like the slide is opening all the way. That's really good news since we really weren't lookiing forward to taking it back to the collision center. They were better than the dealer but it still took "forever".
