Question 3M Film

Has anyone removed or replaced the 3M Film on the front of their Alpine? If so, how did the paint hold up? While at the FMCA rally in Perry 2009, I had a 3M rep look at the mold around the edges of film. He took a sample and sent to 3M for approval and has called to say it will be covered under warranty. If the paint comes loose when the film is removed can they say it's due to a poor paint job by WRV? Would like to know what experience anyone else has had with this problem.
