5200 miles in 26 days. I'm tired.

This post has no real purpose other than to say we love our Alpine. Hopefully not to death.

We left Salt Springs, FL on 8/5 and drove to Jackson, MS.
Arrive Flagstaff, AZ on 8/8
Arrive Riverside, CA via Vidal Junction and Joshua Tree 8/9
Riverside to Livermore, CA on 8/11
Livermore to Santa Rosa via Golden Gate bridge 8/12
Santa Rosa to Mammoth Lakes via Tioga Pass on 8/16
night drive from Mammoth to Ash Fork, AZ via 168 to Hwl 95 in NV on 8/17
Arrive Flagstaff, AZ 8/18 in AM
Spend a week doing renovations on house there. This was "resting"
Depart on 8/25 drive to The North Rim near Jacob Lake.
Camp at Piute State Park in UT on 8/26
Camp on Hwy 6 before Provo 8/27
Camped near Blackfoot, ID on 8/28
Parked near I-90 in MT just before ID on 8/29
Arrive Colville, WA 8/30

It's actually a tiny bit less than 5200 miles if you route my exact route, but I didn't add in the couple of times I got lost and had to turn around.

Someday we will get good at this RV thing and stop moving under a deadline.

I'm sitting in Spokane at the RV mechanic waiting to have my radiator looked at... again.

Then I'm driving back to AZ.

Meanwhile I'm doing more "resting" up here in WA working on our 2 rentals here.

The Alpine has performed well. Sure, we've had some issues in our first year, but any RV being used as much as ours will have issues. This 5200 miles was just August. We also drove from WA to AZ, then around AZ a bit, then to FL. All in the first year.

I appreciate a guy who uses his coach to drive!!

The most I did was 8300 miles in 13 days. NJ to Olympia, WA to Key West back to NJ.

At the end of August I drove from NJ to KW on Mon/Tue and drove back to NJ on Sat/Sun.

As I tell people: "I'll rest when I'm dead"!

Many truckers will do that sort of mileage in a little more than a week. Makes one appreciate them.
Glad you are enjoying your coach.
Can't wait for things get back to normal.

5200 miles in 26 days. I'm tired.

The new owners of our Alpine went out for something like 70 days and did about 6,000 miles. At the same time we went out on a working trip for 30 days. We sat for one whole week in Reno, and drove 4,500 miles.

It was wonderful. These coaches/buses were meant to move. We love the travel!!

Haven’t read what kind of problem you’re having with the radiator, but I trust you get it fixed without EM’s description...BSWOM.

Safe Travels everyone!!
