After toasting my brakes and fluid over tennessee pass had my brakes checked (pads, calipers, sensors all looked ok-fluid flushed and replaced)- have been unable to get the ABS light to reset-brake shops no longer have the softwear from Merritor to read fault codes on our 98 model C series hydraulic brake system. Told by Merritor to get softwear from Alpine-of course they no longer have the original test softwear-told to contact Freightliner-another no go-tried to short to ground the test hookup with no response for fault codes. Merritor says the ABS may still be working but without a fault code cannot tell me what is wrong. Have checked and cleaned each sensor - all wires look good - help anyone

I have had same problem. Previous coach owner tried to have fixed at Conleys. Cost over $200 and didn't work for long. I checked into repair and it is hard to find anyone that can or wants to do it. I had brakes all replaced in '04 and the advice was to not worry about the light. I agreed and unplugged the light socket so it wouldn't show on dash. Brakes work great and out of sight out of mind. I won't pay to get a temporary fix.

I had a spate of ABS lights for a while, some solved by a service center, but the most common was a wheel sensor that would back away from the wheel slightly.
Now when I get a light it is the first place I go to fix it. My problem sensor is on the RF wheel.
