Alpine 2001 RV

I have a 2001 Alpine cummins 350 allison 6 speed hydraulic brakes.
I am having erotic speedometer. I used to pull over and let the computer
reboot to correct it. Now it does it more often after 4 or 5 miles and effects
the cruise control and effects the shifting.I have checked the output sensors
on the transmission. Medallions can not make a new VDC.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Jerry

Hello Jerry, Welcome to IRV2 and the Alpine Coach Forum.

I had that the same problems with my Speedometer and Tach; fortunately, WRV was still in existence so I replaced my gauges. In 2001 when we first purchased the Coach and I was having the same problems and before WRV figured out that it was caused by the Gauges I installed a Silverleaf VMSpc. This provided me with a lot of info and I still use it today. Since Medallions is no longer manufacturing the gauges you might be able to find a company that can repair them for you. Here in SoCal, I have used United Speedometer Service in Riverside CA and they repaired and converted a Factory Gauge on a Toyota for me when I went from a four cyl to a V-6. I hope this information helps.

I hope you also attend some of the Alpine Coach Rallies.

Alpine 2001 RV

Jerry,

I think sometimes we all need a bit of humor, and it takes computer auto correction to really bring it home.

I have a 2001 Alpine cummins 350 allison 6 speed hydraulic brakes.

I am having erotic speedometer.

I understand this is a serious subject, but in this world today, I think I would enjoy an "erotic speedometer"😱

I am sure that the folks here can assist.

I know this is no help, but after reading the post, I must add that my speedo is also erotic at times, and it causes me to have erratic dreams!
