We recently (1/27/2005) purchased an Alpine Avalanche at the RV show in Tampa. We traded in our Alpenlite Augusta 5th wheel and chose the Alpine because of the quality in our, and other, Alpenlites we were familiar with. The coach has LOTS of problems. La Mesa RV and Western RV are being extremely helpful and cooperative and many things have been fixed, but we have been on the La Mesa lot (we are full timers) for two weeks now and there are still things left to fix. We can't get them to admit we got a lemon. This rig should never have left the factory in the condition it was in. We are looking for other Alpine Avalanche owners to see if this is typical of this coach, or if we really did get a lemon. You can email directly to shirjer@escapees.com if you choose. Thanks!

I hope you are enjoying your new coach. I saw your e-mail and I thought now that I am no longer with western rv I could inform you. The Avalanche was not a lemon, It was just an Avalanche Almost every Avalanche Ever built is having the same problems. For this reason western rv has decided to discontinue the Avalanche production line.
