Alpine Door Bell
I am trying to get the door bell functional. It has not worked since I purchased the coach 6 years ago. I have replaced the batteries in both the button and chime unit. It works intermittently now. Does anyone happen to know the manufacturer or have any experience with their coach having had these issues? Thanks for the input!

Bruce,
I haven’t heard of anybody else having a doorbell. Is it wireless? Possibly aftermarket from Lowe’s etc? Good luck and keep us posted.
I just recently added a keyless entry I hope I don’t need a doorbell too!

I never paid attention before but I thought it was standard equipment! Yes it is wire less. I will look at some after market options.
Keyless entry is a nice upgrade! Thank you for your reply.

I am getting used to the looks of the keypad and I like the convenience of not needing a key to get in. I went with a very low tech model, no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or phone connection or finger print. This type suits my old feeble mind. There are a bunch of different types out there, this one just happened to fit perfectly and was an easy install

Terry, Mind sharing which model you used?
This is something on my “someday” list I’d like to do…soon.
We rarely lock the door, a bad habit we’ve gotten in to.
I was thinking low tech also, same mind problem lol…
Thanks, Mike

It’s a Quickset smart code 270 about $110 from Lowe’s. I posted pics of the install on the Alpine Facebook group. Piece of cake to install, comes in a couple of different styles and finishes.

Thanks

A door bell never was an option from WRZ. It was most likely added by a PO.

You learn something new every day! Thanks for the response… it has been a good conversation piece since everyone tries it as they enter our coach and it did not work. I have disassembled the switch and will look for a replacement.
