Alpine Sightings

Fellow Alpine Owners,
Thought it would be fun to report to this site when you see an Alpine Coach going down the road. Maybe if your reported, you could tell the group where you are going!

Friday, July 17th, 1:30 pm, I had a sighting on I-15 (northbound) around Sandy or Draper,Utah (just south of Salt Lake City, UT) With the center divider and going the opposite direction couldn't tell much except black/gray/silver color.

This could be fun, but if you disagree. It will drop to the bottom in no time!!

We spotted a 36 or 38 headed NB on I-15 today, just north of cedar city. Towing a jeep. Didn't have time to wave. We are in Zion SP now.

Hey Dan & Denice,
We had several Alpine sightings on our way to and from Colorado. In Pendleton we ran into Bob and Sue Rockett and Jim and Linda Fivian. Met two new members, Scott & Marcia Hicks in Glenns Ferry Idaho and two people, Kelly & Lola in Pocatello (not members but I gave them the pitch).
It was great to see people out and about having a great time!

Had two or three highway sightings but couldn't give you a description if we had to, those Alpines really move!

Great idea Dan.

Though my last trip was June 12-29, I saw:

Early model (white) West bound on I-40 near Flagstaff (12th)

Black/Silver West bound on I-40 near Albuquerque (13th)

Early model West bound on I-44 East of Tulsa (14th)

Late model (forgot color) East bound I-70 east of the Eisenhower Tunnel (27th)

Bronze East bound on I-70 at Utah/Colorado border (29th)

Ours is called Summer Bronze (Burgundy, Black, Dark Champagne, Light Champagne). I think they call in Cinnabark in later years.

We went camping over 4th, at Chehalis Thousand Trails. Talked to a fellow up from Texas in his Alpine several times, cannot remember his name, but he was a true gentlemen.

Also one rig pulled in overnight at the same park during out stay, we were going to say hello, but they left the next day before we could. Saw another one heading SB on I-5 Just south of Woodland, WA about two weeks ago.

We will be heading south to Eugene, OR around the 14th for a windshield replacement then to South Jetty Thousand Trails park for several days, then north along 101 to pacific City TT park during that time off. We might take a day trip to Hood River, OR for the hydro hot repair, but that is dependent on the Tech being able to do the fix. Ours is a bronze color, but don't remember its official designation.

Don't you love highway 126 between Mapleton & Florence? Makes you want to go out and replace those Koni's!

We have not taken that one yet, as we have not decided for sure that is what we are going to do. But if this heat does not break soon in Portland and Vancouver, I going to Alaska.

We're at Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell, WA. There's 2 other Alpines here (one an Apex). Long time since we've seen another Alpine.

We spent a week at Winchester Bay in Oregon when it was >100° inland, and it was in the low 60's all day. It was hard to leave. We took 126 over there from Eugene, and 38 back. We liked 38 much better. We thought it was a prettier drive and a much better road. And no construction delays.
