The previous owner of our coach (2005) had the passenger inside replaced in 2015 at Supreme Glass in Yuma, AZ. Total cost was $1600. There were crate and freight charges of $180, sales tax was $106. If you're able to have it done at RV Glass Solutions in Coburg, OR, you'll save the freight and tax and the glass may be a bit less as well. Plan on an overnight stay as they recommend it sit for at least 4 hours after the work is completed. They should have the glass in stock, call to confirm.

We added windshield coverage to our insurance for about $115/year. The PO had it also. Figured if we had to replace one every 10 years we'd break even.

Last month I had my drivers side windshield replaced. $1395 total.

Insurance covered it.

Originally Safelite was trying to repair a quarter size star chip. Didn't work and wound up with a two foot crack.

Had both sides of my 2000 Horizon replaced last fall, after following a gravel truck in Utah. Safelite had contract through Grange insurance to replace. They refused to remove and replace as they saw some rust after removing molding. Took to local glass shop, no problems encountered as it was only surface rust. They cleaned it off, applied a rust preventive, and installed new glass. Insurance paid $2800.

Anyone replaced a windshield recently?

Had ours replaced last year at RV Fog Doctor in Searcy, AR, great job, when I set up the appointment they contacted my insurance company and once approved ordered the windshield. When I arrived at their shop they were ready for me, total cost to me $0.00, insurance covered everything including freight! RV Fog Dr has full hook ups, we stayed in the coach while they did the work.

If you have a split windshield, no matter where you go be sure they only do one side at a time, allowing 12+ hours between sides for the adhesive/sealer to dry. You also need to be sure they level the coach before they start work. The windshield is an integral part of the body and removing both sides at once can allow the whole thing to shift and in some cases it could be too much to recover.
