Attachments for awning
I have the original Weatherpro awning. I want to attach one of those sunscreen net things that extend from the awning to the ground. They attach to the awning by clips that slide into grooves on the awning rail. The problem is that I can’t figure out how to get the end caps off the awning to slide the clips into without practically taking the entire end mechanism apart. Is there an easier way to do this? Thanks for your help.

For two awnings we were able to use those grooves to hang little flags without any modification. The little plastic hangers twist just a little to get past the end cap.
One awning did not have those grooves.

On my awnings, when I needed to add a new pull strap, it was engineered so I could force the plastic bar thing into the slot without having to take the whole thing apart. Aren't your sunscreen clips designed for that?
I know how you feel though, I was scratching my head about my pull strap for a while too.

One of your end caps should have a opening that lines up with the slot.
Sorry the lighting isn't great, but you should get the idea.

DOH! Jeep401 nailed it. Mine has that hole too. I'd totally forgotten that I'd found that hole AFTER I'd forced that plastic rod into the slot. It's on the end without the Extend-retract mechanism. Closest the rear of the RV.

Thanks!
Just as y’all described, I found the hole at the end of the awning! It is not as perfectly round as the above picture because the end cap is not exactly aligned, but I may be able to slide something very thin into the rail, or maybe I can widen the opening somewhat. Thanks so much!

Mosquito free or….
Thought I found the perfect Florida campsite recently without skeeters. Pulled into a waterfront site at Ft. Desoto campground in St. Pete….no mosquitos at all because the bay breezes were so strong. So, no bugs….but the breezes brought with them the awful Red Tide fish kill odors! I spent a lot of time inside my coach! Other than the smell, that campground really is a hidden Florida gem!
