Avalanche Help Needed

Does anyone know where I can check the brake fluid on my 2005 Avalanche? I'm on the road, hubby is on the other side of the country and your tip made me think I should check it before going over the Mountains this weekend.

Thanks

Is this a test? On my old 2004 Avalanche, I did not have hydraulic brakes, rather, they were air brakes, thus no fluid check required.
