Bangor to Burlington

Hey Mainers out there - what's it like traveling on hwy 2 across Maine to Burlington? In a 40ft motorhome, towing?
Thanks for your help.

We have driven our 40' FDTS towing across US-2 several times without any problems. Some of the roads are a little narrow and twisty at times, but not steep - mostly good roads and not much traffic. We like to stay in the White Mountains in NH on our way to the Maine coast and will be going that way this summer again.

Been both ways. Down the highway through Portsmouth and up as well as over Rt#2. We live in southern central Maine and there is only about 2 miles difference between the two. Rt#2 is fine, just not highway speeds. Scenery is better....
