I am thinking about installing some sliding storage in the basement compartments. I noticed that the fresh water tank is supported by brackets that both bolt to the frame and extend down to the floor of the storage compartment. Unfortunately the brackets that extend down will interfere with the sliders I want to install. Has anyone else faced this issue and what did they do? Do I need both the top brackets attached to the frame and the bottom brackets? Do the new models also have this problem? I don't recall seeing the bottom brackets when I looked at them.

Steve,
I have a 2002 and had the same problem. I talked to the factory and informed the bottom support rod can be moved. They offered to sell me a new water tank support. As this was expensive and a lot of work to install I did it my own way. The tank support is rect. tubing which I drilled in the area where I wanted the rod moved to and carefully taped the hole. I then drilled the floor, sealed the old holes, installed the rod in the new spot and used one nut as a lock against the tank support. If you have any questions you can call me at (702) 306-4394

I don't remember it was a while back. You can contact the factory to get a price.
