Wouldn't go back to wet cells. Really like the Lifeline AGMs. Took the old ones out, cleaned the battery compartment with ammonia and water, put in the AGMs, set the Xantrex to 880 amp hours, AGM batteries, and never looked back. They take no maintenance, don't out-gas, look like new, don't have corrosion on the terminals, and they carry a deep charge. I can't tell the difference in charge capacity from the wet cells when they were new, and our batteries or 3 years old. Others have had theirs in for at least 2-3 years longer than us.
There's always and issue of losing one battery and having to replace the whole battery bank, but so far that has not been an issue, and if it is, I still replace the whole bank with AGMs. They are just no hassle and that's worth it to me.
The Lifelines did have shorter posts than the wet cells and I did have to put heaterhose around the battery hold down straps to prevent contact with the terminals and their connections, but that's all I had to do.
