Blower motor for dash air

I replaced my dead blower motor. Attached is a picture of the label of the blower motor I picked up at Advanced Auto which was an exact replacement.

Scott,
Does your switch energize the motor on all 3 speeds? My fan works on high only. Haven't determined yet whether the switch or the resistor is defective.

Gene,

Yes mine works in all speeds. There was a thread a couple of weeks back about the fan resistors. I was able to access my fan from inside the coach by removing the carpeted panel in front of the passenger seat.

Assume youíre talking about the dash AC. The fan is directly behind the radio/console area. You start by pulling the panel off in front of the passenger seat. Then remove the console panel to the left. These are both held on with velcro but can be stubbornly difficult and/or come completely loose thus requiring velcro replacement. Youíll find the fan right in front of you in the typical housing.

The fan is basically an automotive type fan that came in 1999 Ford Econoline van (as I recall). Take it to a Napa and theyíll match it up. Thatís what I did to fix mine. Good luck!

The A/C Blower Motor part # for NAPA 655-1076 that is what I used on my 2001 Alpine.
