The steering wheel in the first picture is not set straight ahead. My steering was cocked about 5 minutes to the left Sorry for the confusing picture.

Wow. Interesting thread.
My new 2000 alpine came with the steering wheel off center to the right.
Instead of the horizontal bar being at the 3 o'clock position it is at about 4 o'clock.
Rides fine, doesn't pull or wander. Has new tires but I saw the old ones. They were shot but not worn unevenly.
I'm hoping an alignment at cummins coach care will include re-centering.

The steering wheel came off easily. I used the ratchet in the above picture with a 3/4" socket to drive the puller. I heard a little pop when the wheel came loose. I made a couple of more turns on the puller, then removed the puller. I could slide the steering wheel up by hand. I recommend that you do not remove the steering wheel. There is a spring loaded part below the wheel that will slide up if you do. Also, the horn wire will have to be threaded back through it's hole when you replace the wheel. Just pull the steering wheel up enough to clear the splines, rotate the steering wheel as needed, find the nearest spot that meshes with the splines, and slide the wheel back down on the splines. Re-assemble in reverse order.
Great you got it centered.

That's exactly what we did after a wheel alignment if the wheel was off.

Happy Glamping.
