Does this switch seperate the house bank from the crank bank so that the crank batteries could NOT be discharged from house use? Is there anyplace that both of these switchs are explained? Thanks

Chris read the thread on "Engine and Generator doesn't like each other"¯. The answer to your question is yes. When the solenoid is off the batteries are isolated. If light 19 on the Vansco Panel in the battery bay is off the solenoid should be open.

Chris- If the question is about the disconnect switch (rotary, manual type, located in the batt compartment) the answer is no, that isn't a function of the disconnect. The disconnect is (I'm pretty sure, my coach & wife are in AZ & I'm not) in the red wire from chassis batt's to the chassis to cut off parasitic draws. Same w/the house disconnect @ the entry steps.
Wayne's explanation of the solenoid switch & #19 (for multiplexed chassis') lite is accurate, & the solenoid provides an auto-disconnect between chassis & house. The solenoid acts sorter like a 2 way diode; it only allows charge to reach the other batt bank when it is at a high enough voltage to charge. If the charge level is absent or not high enough, the solenoid doesn't come on to connect the banks, so discharge is prevented.
