Chris- If the question is about the disconnect switch (rotary, manual type, located in the batt compartment) the answer is no, that isn't a function of the disconnect. The disconnect is (I'm pretty sure, my coach & wife are in AZ & I'm not) in the red wire from chassis batt's to the chassis to cut off parasitic draws. Same w/the house disconnect @ the entry steps.
Wayne's explanation of the solenoid switch & #19 (for multiplexed chassis') lite is accurate, & the solenoid provides an auto-disconnect between chassis & house. The solenoid acts sorter like a 2 way diode; it only allows charge to reach the other batt bank when it is at a high enough voltage to charge. If the charge level is absent or not high enough, the solenoid doesn't come on to connect the banks, so discharge is prevented.
