creaking noise when dump air bags

When i dump the air from my air bags before deploying the jacks on my 2001 40 foot Alpine Coach I hear knocking sounds. Need ideas on what might be causing. My shocks are 1 year old. I have 133,000 miles on unit

Is this something new that recently started? How long have you had the coach? Wasn’t sure if you recently purchased the coach or have had it for a while.

creaking noise when dump air bags

Reply to Jthigh The noise started about 6 months ago. I am the original owner of the 2001 alpine coach. More info--- If I deploy the jacks first and then drop the air I only hear air escaping. The creaking, knocking noises only occur when I drop the air from the air bags before deploying the jacks. Im thinking of spraying silicon spray or wd-40 on the top and bottom portions of the air bags to see if that solves the problem. ????

....most tire manufacturers don't recommend using any sort of "dressing" on their tire products....wonder how they feel about their air bags??????

Air bag mfg say the same thing about no "dressings".
The creaking most likely is worn suspension parts moving & coach flexing as it settles when dumping air.
All of us when we get old .... start popping & creaking when we move

I agree with saddlesore, the creaking/knocking is the coach settling onto the frame. When you deploy the jacks first dumping the air bags only lets the air out, there is no settling. I would not lubricate the air bags, I would lubricate the chassis. Has the coach been parked for an extended period recently, like before you started hearing the knocking?
