Dish or direct or other
Hey
Everyone from Raleigh NC. I have direct tv and satellite in the RV. Their techs are useless. I get three satellite signals but can not get receiver and TV to connect Have tried multiple things that people have suggested. Is there a better system. Or does anyone have a suggestion how to get them to connect ? Tired of paying for something that doesn't work. Was thinking of going to Dish But not sure if they know what they are doing reference to RV satellite either. We have Direct in our home also. Any suggestions
Thanks

Are you connecting directly from the dish to the receiver?
What dish type? What receiver?
Without a lot more information no one can offer bupkiss.

Dish or direct or other
We had the RF Mogul satellite installed and went with dish.
Dish allows us to stop service when not in use.

We have had Dish at home and in the Alpine for 7 years and love it. Customer service is great, never a problem with reception or billing. You can also receive local channels for your present zip code for wherever you are on the road; done via internet.

Using a Winegard Trav'ler and a Winegard Playmaker for backup with Dish 211K receiver connected to an external hard drive that provides complete DVR features. Nothing special as far as TV; Sony 32" LCD with HDMI connections to the 211K. I believe the 211's have been discontinued but Dish has other options for receivers and DVR's, Hopper etc.

Have had Direct for years. Just take the receivers with us when we travel.
Getting switched to Dish today at the stick house then need to change LNB on the RF Mogul on the motorhome to one that's compatible with the Hopper 3. That will allow me to take the Hopper and wireless Joeys with me when I travel.

I switched to YouTube TV. As long as you have a decent internet connection through WiFi or LTE it works fine and costs around $40 per month. The Direct TV bill kept creeping up to around $160 per month and we really did not use the 200+ channels. I got rid of Direct TV a few years ago.

Hope you have better luck with your YouTubeTV (Google) account, although they advertise $40/mo, they billed me $80/mo and would not adjust to what I had agreed to, finally after sending the on line ad to CC company had to get them to stop the charges. Youtube TV then changed the billing account so CC company told me it was fraud, and issued me a new account number! This dragged out for months with YouTubeTV continuing bill at $80.
