Do all slides extend the same distance?
2004 40 MDTS: my passenger side bedroom slide doesn't extend as far as the driver's side bedroom slide. The slides seem to operate properly otherwise. It has been this way since I bought it in 2019 and doesn't present any problems. I just want to make sure that it is fully extended for maximum living space.

IS it Sealing....making contact with interior wall and is tight aganist it?
Then it is fully extending
NO....slide depths are not all the same
I have 3 and each one is different
Bedroom one is 34" deep
Small sofa one is 24" deep
Large dinette/entertainment is 32" deep
Others may have different depths
DO they SEAL??? That is the real question

Old-Biscuit has summed it up perfectly. If the slide is snug against the interior wall and compressing the interior seal, it is fully extended.

Here’s a visual aid. The slide in question is in the 12-15” range, the sofa/kitchen slide is 21-22”, the bed slide is 24-26”.

I've got a 40' '06 Alpine MDTS, and the curb side bdrm slide does not go out all the way and never has. The frame around the slide goes out to about 4" from the wall and stops. I've examined it in the past. and it seems that it is going out as far as it's supposed to. I've never asked if this is normal or not. Might be a good time to find out.

I felt behind each side of the wood frame on the inside of the curbside slide and found the stop bolts. It is less than an inch from bumping into the stop so I think it's fine.

The PS bedroom slide employs a scissor jack as opposed to just rams like the other slides. It’s only capable of going to about 4” from the wall when it stops. Almost everyone new to these coaches (including myself) ask about that slide not going out all the way to the wall. You’re now a member of the “club”.
