I had a problem with the rims oxidizing. After trying many products I finally found Maguiar's Hot Rims.
Here is a before picture

Here is an after picture

This stuff REALLY works! It applies like a paste wax and it took me about 30 minutes per rim, but as you can see it was worth it.

WOW! Gotta try that.

Just did mine using another product and two different sized "PowerBalls". These are globe-shaped abrasive foam balls that are "chucked" into a power drill. This made the job a lot easier.

I'll bet the combination of these products works well.

I just checked at Pep Boys for the Meguiar's Hot Rims, and found a liquid cleaner. I just checked the Meguiar's website, and found a Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum polish. I didn't find that at Pep Boys. I am assuming you used the Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum polish, not the Hot Rims All Wheels Cleaner that I found at Pep Boys??

Whatever you used sure looks great!! My wheels definitely look like the before picture.

There is a product called Five Star from Zepmfg.com that does wonders on any type of metal. Amazing product!

Jim - I did use the Meguiar's Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum polish. The hand way was not so bad, but the powerballs seems like a great idea.

Jerry - I did not try Zep's Five Star, however I tried NAPA mag wheel polish and others, none worked. the Meguiar's is the only one that worked.
